Functieomschrijving

The Alliance for Language Technologies (ALT-EDIC) seeks talents from various EU Member States to expand its core team. It will offer interactions with a wide range of stakeholders in an international environment, and the opportunity to play a key role in the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Europe. The Project Manager would support the EU-funded projects that ALT-EDIC coordinates and participates in, including ALT-EDIC4EU, OpenEuroLLM, LLMs4EU, LLM-BRIDGE, as well as forthcoming projects and proposals.

Taken en verantwoordelijkheden

  • Manage EU-funded projects as consortium coordinator or partner, ensuring effective partner coordination, delivery oversight, and timely, compliant reporting
  • Lead end-to-end project planning, including the preparation of proposals, workplan structuring, milestones, deliverables, and critical path managements
  • Coordinate governance arrangements (steering committees, technical boards, working groups) and prepare agendas and minutes
  • Track KPIs and ensure quality assurance of outputs and deliverables

Essentiële eisen

  • Ervaring met Europees projectmanagement, idealiter op het gebied van digitale technologieën
  • Good understanding of EU policies and funding framework
  • Sterke organisatorische vaardigheden en goed time management
  • Aanpassingsvermogen en teamwork vaardigheden
  • Vloeiend in ten minste twee EU-talen

Desirable skills and experience

  • Managing budget execution and financial reporting
  • Event management and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with cascade-funding/FSTP calls
  • Vermogen om succesvolle projectvoorstellen te schrijven
  • Sterke interesse in taaltechnologieën en aanverwante onderwerpen

Over de ALT-EDIC

De ALT-EDIC implementeert een Meerlandenproject (MCP) aiming at developing a common European infrastructure in Language Technologies (LTs). It seeks to improve European competitiveness in LT and uphold Europe’s linguistic and cultural diversity.

De ALT-EDIC werd officieel opgericht op 7 februari 2024, door Uitvoeringsbesluit (EU) 2024/458 van de Commissie. Het bestaat uit 17 lidstaten en 8 waarnemende lidstaten of regio's. Het wordt gecoördineerd en gehost door Frankrijk, en de statutaire zetel is in Villers-Cotterêts.

De ALT-EDIC zal haar leden en de LT-gemeenschap van dienst zijn door de beschikbaarheid van Europese taalgegevens te vergroten, de interoperabiliteit ervan te verbeteren, het aanbod van LT-evaluaties te versterken, netwerken te bevorderen en bij te dragen tot gemeenschappelijk beleid voor LT. De snelle vooruitgang van LT's zoals Large Language Models (LLM's) plaatst de ALT-EDIC in het hart van de ontwikkeling van AI-technologieën.
