It will offer interactions with a wide range of stakeholders in an international environment, and the opportunity to play a key role in the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tasks and responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop and maintain annotation guidelines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and manage a pool of annotators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure data quality and standardisation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create and maintain a data catalogue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to the management of a data storage infrastructure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate with other linguistic data centres and oversee subcontracted activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Essential requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge in linguistics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge in Language Technology development and evaluation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with natural language data annotation and running language data annotation campaigns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluent in at least two EU languages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Desirable skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to develop software tools, knowledge of User Interface design<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of various Operating Systems (Linux, Windows and MacOS) and programming languages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adaptability and teamwork skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conditions of employment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The ALT-EDIC Employment and Recruitment Policy is available in <a href=\"https:\/\/alt-edic.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ALT-EDIC-Employment_policy-EN.pdf\" title=\"\">English<\/a> and in <a href=\"https:\/\/alt-edic.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ALT-EDIC-Employment_policy-FR.pdf\" title=\"\">French<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competitive salary based on the candidate\u2019s expertise and experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Location: The role includes working from our office in the Ch\u00e2teau de Villers-Cotter\u00eats, with flexibility for remote work on the remaining days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start date: As soon as possible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the ALT-EDIC<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The ALT-EDIC implements a <a href=\"https:\/\/futurium.ec.europa.eu\/en\/digital-compass\/multi-country-projects\" title=\"\">Multi-Country Project (MCP)<\/a> aiming at developing a common European infrastructure in Language Technologies (LTs). It seeks to improve European competitiveness in LT and uphold Europe\u2019s linguistic diversity and cultural richness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ALT-EDIC was officially set up on February 7th, 2024, by <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/eli\/dec_impl\/2024\/458\/oj\" title=\"\">Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024\/458<\/a>. It gathers 17 Members States and 8 observing Member States or regions. It is coordinated and hosted by France, and its statutory seat is in Villers-Cotter\u00eats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ALT-EDIC will serve its members and the LT community by increasing the availability of European language data, enhancing their interoperability, strengthening the offer of LT evaluation, fostering networking, and contributing to common policies for LT.
