It will offer interactions with a wide range of stakeholders in an international environment, and the opportunity to play a key role in the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the ALT-EDIC<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ALT-EDIC implements a <a href=\"https:\/\/futurium.ec.europa.eu\/en\/digital-compass\/multi-country-projects\" title=\"\">Multi-Country Project (MCP)<\/a> aiming at developing a common European infrastructure in Language Technologies (LTs). It seeks to improve European competitiveness in LT and uphold Europe\u2019s linguistic diversity and cultural richness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ALT-EDIC was officially set up on February 7th, 2024, by <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/eli\/dec_impl\/2024\/458\/oj\" title=\"\">Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024\/458<\/a>. It gathers 17 Members States and 8 observing Member States or regions. It is coordinated and hosted by France, and its statutory seat is in Villers-Cotter\u00eats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ALT-EDIC will serve its members and the LT community by increasing the availability of European language data, enhancing their interoperability, strengthening the offer of LT evaluation, fostering networking, and contributing to common policies for LT. The fast progress of LTs such as Large Language Models (LLMs) puts the ALT-EDIC at the heart of the development of AI technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tasks and responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Managing the ALT-EDIC\u2019s communication channels (website, social media)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disseminating results and activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Producing content (news, feature articles, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organisation of events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Essential requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excellent writing, drafting, and presentation skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in event organisation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visual design skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluent in at least two EU languages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Desirable skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Science writing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good understanding of EU policies and funding frameworks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A strong interest in Language Technologies and related topics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proactivity, taking initiatives and being a driving force<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conditions of employment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The ALT-EDIC Employment and Recruitment Policy is available in <a href=\"https:\/\/alt-edic.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ALT-EDIC-Employment_policy-EN.pdf\" title=\"English\">English<\/a> and in <a href=\"https:\/\/alt-edic.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ALT-EDIC-Employment_policy-FR.pdf\" title=\"French\">French<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competitive salary based on the candidate\u2019s expertise and experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daily work in Villers-Cotter\u00eats (teleworking arrangements can be considered)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start date: As soon as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Submit your application including a CV and a motivation letter by email to <a href=\"mailto:jobs@alt-edic.eu?subject=Job%20offer:%20ALT-EDIC%20Communication%20and%20Dissemination%20Officer\" title=\"\">jobs@alt-edic.eu<\/a>.
